Interim Flood Enquiry Report released

The interim flood enquiry has released its interim report which is a 266 page document seeking to improve the way we manage Floods in the future in Queensland. Click on this link to read more and even download the report if interested. ABC Flood Report 1 August 2011 

Key recommendations

  • Reduce Wivenhoe Dam to 75 per cent of capacity if dangerous wet season looms
  • Make it simpler for Water Minister to order a lowering of dam levels
  • Review dam operations annually by September 30
  • More flood engineers and swift water rescuers
  • Wivenhoe Dam operating manual to be made clearer
  • SMS alert and evacuation improvements
  • Investigate alarm-activating gauges in the Lockyer Valley
  • Remove debris from Lockyer Valley waterways

Robert Cooper named Elite Broker again

 

Robert Cooper was named in the Top 20 Elite Brokers once again in 2019 from Insurance Business Magazine. He has been in this list for five out of the last six years. This year he finished in his highest position of eighth.

Robert admits he could not have achieved this without the support of his wonderful staff, and in particular Mandy Cooper.
