Is Public Speaking your biggest Fear?

News >>

Not really an Insurance subject but it is connected as us Brokers are often called upon to address Boards of Directors, or internal forums or Insurance related seminars. To do these is a great honour and an opportunity to sell yourself. But gee it is too scary..... What if people think I am stupid...... What if I really stuff myself up?

With public speaking, the only way you can build confidence, and this comes with good preparation, taking note of good speakers but above all PRACTICE. The best place to practice is to join your local Rostrum Club. A short meeting each week where you can get to speak most weeks for a short period and then a critic will assist with an area you work on improving.

See more details at http://qld.rostrum.com.au . I have been a member for over three years now Queensland Rostrum Club 10 and I now look forward to being invited to speak by any organisation simply by attending and practicing these skills. Vital skills to improve your career!
